Shalimar Luis is a Creative Director & Visual Artist based in Hoboken, NJ.
With Puerto Rican and Cuban roots from North Bergen, NJ, Shalimar holds a BFA in Design from the School of Visual Arts. Her career in graphic design has seen her create award-winning work for notable clients including Apple, National Geographic, and American Express. Her talents have been recognized with accolades from the Webby Awards, W3 Gold Awards, and Adobe.
Shalimar’s artistic journey is defined by her love for experimentation and trying new things. She thrives on pushing creative boundaries and exploring new techniques, which keeps her work fresh and dynamic. This passion for innovation means she rarely does the same thing twice, bringing a unique perspective to every project.
Her artistic journey includes a residency at the School of Visual Arts Fine Arts Residency program. After over fifteen years in design, Shalimar is shifting to a full-time fine art career and recently opened The Shalimar Luis Design and Art Gallery in Hoboken, NJ, where she continues to create and exhibit her vibrant and experimental works.
